what is it?
Core is a pocket electronic device full of useful sensors that can measure different elements. Especially relevant are the quality of the air, the brightness, the ambient temperature, humidity, pressure and so on. It can measure the amount of UVA and the alcohol through an appropriate programming software and firmware.
Aroma Technology SRL is the company behind the development of the first device. This company came to the IED university and together decided to collaborate. In conclusion, five students attended this project and everyone presented their own concept. You can see the original device on this Kickstarter campaign.

Core and Cloud Computing
Weather Forecast
First of all thanks to its sensors that can measure the pressure, the environmental temperature and humidity. Core can be utilized to improve the weather forecast thanks to its data collecting.
Traffic Forecast
Thanks to the integrated GPS in the mobile phones and the sensor that measure the pollution in the air (carbon monoxide CO) Core can help drivers to avoid traffic and take other roads. In addition this can be associated to other traffic apps.
Pollution Mapping
It’s a huge improvement opportunity to the sensors usually used to analyze the pollution in the city. Every Core can be a contribution to map the development of the pollution in every city in the world.
UVA Mapping
Same ideas in addition to the pollution mapping, every Core can be used to track the UVA rays around the cities to be sure about the conditions every day.
